Home / About
The person across the table runs facilities too.
Weatherly buys behavioral health facilities, from well-run to deeply distressed: addiction treatment, residential mental health, psychiatric hospitals. The people who evaluate yours spend their working lives inside buildings like it.
01 — The principal
Who you deal with
Shlomo Smith.
Principal · (305) 427-5409
Shlomo operates a multi-state behavioral health platform: hundreds of beds, detox through outpatient, Joint Commission accredited, with facility deals closed in six states. The playbook Weatherly uses was not bought from a consultancy. It was written in his own buildings, where it still runs every morning.

Deals closed in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Indiana, Ohio, and Texas.
Somewhere else? Call anyway. The playbook travels.
02 — How we operate
Three commitments
What you can hold us to.
Operators first
Diligence happens on units and at nursing stations, not in conference rooms. Every system we would install in your facility is running in one of ours today.
Committed capital
Committed in every deal at signing. There is no fund clock and no forced exit; the hold lasts as long as the recovery needs.
Discretion by default
Distress is private. NDAs come first, communication runs through channels you choose, and your situation never gets shopped around the market.
03 — Field notes
From inside our own platform
Three problems we found in our own buildings.
Details simplified for confidentiality. The numbers are real.
A healthy census hiding a $130K monthly hole
Census looked fine while revenue collapsed. Discharges were being delayed to protect the census number, so patients aged out of the levels of care payers would reimburse. The fix was discharge integrity and a change in what leadership measured. Marketing budget: untouched.
Weekend AMA at three times the weekday rate
Invisible in the monthly average. Splitting the data by day of week exposed it: thin weekend programming, unclear after-hours authority, nobody empowered at 2 a.m. on a Saturday. A charge-nurse authority charter and weekend programming built to a Tuesday standard brought it down.
$977K of overhead out, zero clinical cuts
One restructuring, one rule: cut distance from the patient, never proximity. Struggling facilities usually do the reverse, and the frontline pays for the org chart.

04 — In brief
For the record
What Weatherly Operating Partners is.
Weatherly Operating Partners LLC acquires and recapitalizes behavioral health facilities in the United States, healthy and distressed: addiction treatment centers, residential mental health programs, and psychiatric hospitals. Distressed and complex situations are the specialty. The firm invests committed capital in every deal, settles existing debt at closing, and embeds its own operating team to restore compliance, census, staffing, and payer economics. Structures are engineered deal by deal: full buyouts, recapitalizations with owner rollover, and the hybrids in between. The firm is led by principal Shlomo Smith, with deals closed in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Indiana, Ohio, and Texas. The firm acts as principal and operator, never as an intermediary.
